MINIMALIST GRANDEUR

Living in a land scarce city like Singapore might take the joy of living in large open spaces surrounded by nature. But for this family of four, we brought the bliss and calmness of it right into their apartment. This duplex unit is carefully designed to utilise the full potential space through clean functional fixtures and a muted colour scheme.

Entering the home, you are immediately greeted by a large graceful potted plant placed strategically in the middle of the walkway. The spacious open concept kitchen to the left is modeled with a minimalistic theme in mind. In the kitchen, a large cream marble Coverlam countertop is chosen to complement the black and grey dining set, along with light wood grain flooring to brighten up the space.

The mixture of black travertine walls with light wood grain cabinets and solid grey walls may seem like an unorthodox match, but it is because of these distinct features that you get an absolute harmonious ying and yang aura! The clean architecture design throughout the home is further enhanced with parallel ceiling lights that line up the walkway into the living room giving it a pop of grandeur.

Embracing the approach of less is more, the master bedroom is lined with natural wood in black varnish and muted grey in-built furnishings. The wall space above the bed is kept minimalist but illuminated with a strip of warm light suspended just above the bed. The bathroom is furnished with fittings from Grohe, known for its award-winning designs with finest materials. Designing a space that prides quality over quantity is sometimes key to creating a perfect home.
